New terminals drive expanded LotSynergy network

China LotSynergy Holdings Ltd. said it delivered about 9,000 third-generation video lottery terminals to China Welfare Lottery operators in the first five months of the year and expected to deliver another 6,000 machines by the end of the year. It said it expects the shipments will more than offset retirements of old first-generation VLTs, resulting in the number of its VLTs in operation rising to 28,000 to 30,000 by year end from about 21,000 at the start. The company cited Chinese Ministry of Finance figures showing that VLT lottery revenues rose 36.7 percent in the first five months of 2013 from a year earlier, to Rmb11.44 billion ($1.86 billion), and achieved the fastest growth among the country's lottery games.
