Osaka Castle appears at the Bellagio

This year’s Japanese Spring show at the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Garden features as its centerpiece a ten meter tall replica of Osaka Castle, a meaningful addition to the annual event.

Osaka Castle’s appearance is apparently meant as a gesture to celebrate the city’s bid to host the 2025 World Expo as well as a reference to MGM’s “Osaka First” IR licensing campaign.

The Bellagio webpage comments, “Osaka Castle is one of the most iconic and historic castles in all of Japan. It has been chosen to host the 2025 World Expo, with MGM Resorts Japan as a proud supporting partner.”

The Japanese Spring show opened last Friday and is scheduled to continue until June 15.

The Bellagio Conservatory began taking Japanese themes for its spring show in 2015, but the focus on Osaka is new.
