Paradise casino revenue up 19 pct in 19H1

Casino operator Paradise Co said it saw its casino revenue increased 19 percent year-on-year in the first half of 2019, compared to the prior-year period.

The increase in gaming revenue was driven by a 19.8 percent increase in table games revenue, along with an 8.1 percent increase in gaming machine revenue.

The results came as part of a Tuesday filing from the South Korean company, which also announced its June results.

For the month of June, casino revenue surged 25.9 percent, with gaming table and gaming machine revenue up 25.6 percent and 31 percent, respectively.

The figures include results from the operator’s four casinos in the country, including Walker-hill, Jeju Grand, Incheon Paradise City, and Busan Casino.
