Another loan sharking syndicate operating in Metro Manila’s casinos has been identified by Philippine authorities, the Inquirer reports.
PNP chief, Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa made the announcement during a press conference on Thursday, only a few days after 43 members of a high-roller kidnapping ring were busted by police.
The second group is understood to be headed by a Chinese national, with compatriots of Singaporean and Chinese descent, said Dela Rosa.
Senior Supt. Glenn Dumlao, head of the PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG) said a follow-up operation is planned for the second group.
