Macau agency offers IR education for Japan execs

Macau marketing agency HOGO said it has launched a program aimed at educating senior corporate executives from Japan about the IR business.

The agency is teaming with local operators to provide tours of properties, both front and back of house. The company also aims to facilitate meetings with senior operator contacts to discuss strategy.

HOGO noted additionally that the goal of the platform is to offer Japanese executives a chance to understand the breadth and scale of an IR as well as to perceive the positive potential impacts the industry will have in the Japanese market.

“As we continue to listen to the Japanese government and gaming operators focus on the need to educate the public, we feel the need to develop programs that foster such education,” HOGO’s Managing Partner, Chris Wieners was quoted as saying.

HOGO launched a pilot of the program in March, bringing to the city top executives from the largest Japanese telecommunication company, Suncrest Japan, and other ‘influencers’ from Osaka.
