Melco Resorts & Entertainment Ltd is proud to announce the winning of three Hotelier of the Year for 2017 awards at the prestigious BMW Hotelier Awards, an annual award presentation for the hospitality sector.
The Awards aims to recognize outstanding individuals’ professional excellence across the industry.
Melco is delighted to announce 3 winners: Ms. Mary Yip, director of spa & leisure, Studio City Macau, attaining the Wellness & Spa Hotelier Greater China Award; Ms. Maria Judith S Matubis, director of housekeeping, and Mr. Michael G Lumbres, supervisor of emergency response, both from City of Dreams Manila, winning the Rooms Hotelier Asia Award and The Unsung Hero Asia Award respectively.
This year, the Hotelier Awards received 578 applications from 72 hotel brands across 16 countries. Melco is very pleased that 7 colleagues have been selected as finalists across 7 categories. The finalists were carefully judged and examined by a panel of experts consisting of representatives from Forbes Travel Guide, Google, International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM), Les Roches and Edipresse Media Asia Applications, who hold a plethora of industry specific skills and knowledge.
